The CW has released the episode synopsis for The Sun Also Rises, the May 5th episode of The Vampire Diaries – and the last episode before the May 12th Season 2 finale. Hard to believe Season 2 has almost come to an end and how much still awaits us. Highlight for spoilers:

THE SACRIFICE RITUAL BEGINS — With the arrival of the full moon, Elena tries to prepare for whatever Klaus has planned and Tyler faces his second transformation. The terrifying events quickly spin out of control, despite an unexpected act of courage. Finally, Damon admits the truth to Stefan about a terrible new development they must face.

Matt: Is there something you want to tell me?
Caroline: Yeah… I. I mean… no. It’s just. It’s not that easy.
Matt: I don’t get it. Since when am I the one who can express himself and you’re the one at a loss for words?
Caroline: You’re right. I’m sorry.

   Matt: You know how I feel. So it’s your move. So make a decision or leave me alone.

   Ojj vilken avsnitt! tror ni man kommer kunna lita på Katherin eller kommer hon bara lura dem och föra Elena till Klause. Svårt och säga för Katherine verkar ganska övertygande om att hjälpa dem men hon är bra på att lura folk. Och Caroline var tvungen att ge Matt blod för att han skulle överleva nu när Caroline väl hade försökt fixa allting mellan dem och så slutade det så, jag trodde verkligen att allt skulle bli bra mellan dem två. Varför skulle Dr.Martin förstöra allt? det var ju hans fel att Lukas dog. Men Bonnie fick iaf tillbaka sina krafter. Och Isobel vad ville hon varför kommer hon hem till Elena??

TV Line ger oss första bilden på Klause när det inte är flashback!

As many of you guys probably already know, in "The Last Day," Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) spend some quality time together as they await the inevitable full moon's rise. In the photo, the two of them stand against the backdrop of a romantic, yet somewhat eerie sunset.

So why is this picture important? Well, we think it gives some additional insight into the tone of the episode. Judging from the body language (Elena's arms are crossed, while Stefan is looking at her longingly), their last moments together (at least for that day) will be bittersweet. In other words, prepare to shed some tears "TVD" fans. Side note: Are those mountains we see in the background? If so, have they always been a part of the Mystic Falls landscape?

The Stefan/Elena moment isn't the only thing fans have to look forward to, though. According to the official synopsis, the rest of the Mystic Falls gang will have plenty going on too. Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will go above and beyond to keep Elena safe from Klaus (Joseph Morgan), which will, in turn, lead to more drama with Stefan. While Tyler (Michael Trevino) finally returns to town after receiving a troublesome call. Here's hoping he gets to play hero and save Caroline (Candice Accola), after all he definitely owes her one!

   Vad spännande, och undra igentligen vad som kommer hända med Katherine och vad Klause kommer göra i Alarics kropp. Sen har ju ryktena gått runt om att Elena kommer bli avensjuk när Damon dansar med Bonnie undra igentligen om Elena har börjat gilla Damon mer nu! Och Jeremy ser ut att komma i slagsmål på trailern. Och hur mycket skada Bonnie kommer ta när hon använder sina krafter på Klause. Kommer Jenna komma tillbaka?Varför slår Elena, Damon i facet?? Och hur klarar hon sig utan sitt halsband. Mina gissningar är att antingen kommer Damon compell Elena för att skydda henne eller kommer Klause göra något dumt med henne.

Förhoppningsvis kommer vi få alla svar vi vill imogondagens avsnitt!
